We can shoot at any gym of your choice across the UK, or you can join us atnor on location at Genesis Gym, Gloucester, an old-school bodybuilding style gym that provides the perfect gritty backdrop for your session.

Chosing a gym for your shoot is all about the vibe you’re looking for within your photo shoot. Most gyms around the UK make for epic locations to use from the old school bodybuilding to the newer clean aetsthetic look. It’s your fitness photo shoot, so if you lead the way in the vision you’d like and if you’d want to use a gym local to yourself, that’s not a problem!
When scouting a space, think expansively. Gyms with generous floor plans and lofty ceilings offer a clear advantage. That vertical freedom allows lighting rigs to hover overhead, pouring sculpted downlight across muscle lines and angles. The result? Physique imagery with depth, drama, and undeniable presence.
Genesis Gym Gloucester
If you’d rather skip the hunt, Genesis Gym in Gloucester is available as a gym loaction location that is perfect for your shoot. Situated along Bristol Road in Gloucester, right beside the Esso petrol station, it’s easy to find and even easier to access.
Genesis has a wide variety of free weights, plate loaded machines, squat racks as well as a selection of other old school bodybuilding equipment, all ideal for capturing that perfect shot.
Below are a list of items I recommend to bring along to your shoot. Before the shoot I do suggest having a tan, it doesn’t have to “show tan colour”. Having the bright lights shinning on your skin can sometimes blow out your skin tones.
– Change of clothes – gym wear, casual, stage shorts or bikini
– Water – stay hydrated during the shoot
– Food and Snacks – rice cakes, peanut butter or Haribo
– Protan Muscle Juice – helps with adding shine and glow
– Confidence – you’ve worked hard so ENJOY the shoot
After your photo shoot, you will receive an email with a secure, password-protected link to your personal Client Gallery. This gallery will showcase all the unedited images from your session, allowing you to review and select your favorites.
As part of your package, you may choose 10 photographs. If you would like additional images, they can be purchased directly through the gallery at a rate of £12.50 per photograph.
Your Client Gallery will remain accessible for a year after the photo shoot, giving you the flexibility to purchase extra images whenever you wish during that period.
50% of the total amount will be taken at the time of booking and then the remaining balance payment would need to be paid 14 days before the shoot date.
Any deposit is strictly non-refundable.
Payments are non-refundable 14 days before the shoot, you are allowed to re-schedule your shoot once with a minimum of 14 days notice.
Shoots booked and paid in full include a 50% non-refundable booking/admin fee.

Had a fantastic experience with Matt last Saturday. It was my first ever shoot so I was nervous but he’s a really down-to-earth, interesting guy and once we’d chatted for a bit and he’d set up, I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. The photos came back really quickly and were so much better than I imagined… I notice the poses he gave me direction on looked the best so he must know what he’s talking about! I decided to shoot with Matt after stumbling across his work online. I have done a lot of modelling work and Matt’s work really stood out to me.
Not only is he a great photographer, but an absolute breath of fresh air when it comes to organising a shoot with. His customer service abilities are second to none, he replies quickly to queries, he’s friendly, helpful and very professional. So much so that I travelled all the way from Essex to shoot with him in Gloucester at the end of my first prep.

Not overly keen on posing for photos and have been putting off the shoot for some time……. Big mistake, there was nothing to be nervous about. Matt was really flexible to suit me and made me feel totally comfortable. It didn’t feel like I was actually posing at all.

Fantastic, I loved every second of it. This was my first shoot so there were a few nerves there, but the mix of professionalism along with how at ease and comfortable he made me feel wiped any of that away.
